When we are told things directly, we have a natural tendency to resist what we are being told.
For this reason, when doing a blatant cold read, it’s much better to speak about your target (as you are talking to them) in the third person, i.e., saying “this person” instead of “you”.
This makes it sound more like a “potential” future as opposed to destiny - which is also more accurate.
Another thing we humans don’t like is when strangers tell us things about ourselves while looking into our eyes.
When a friend or loved one looks you in the eye and tells you about yourself, it's fine, but when a stranger, or someone you don’t know well, does it, it's creepy.
Instead, speak in the third person and don’t look them in the eye.
Of course, just looking away is weird also. Instead, act as if you are searching your mind, like when you are trying to remember something.
As you are looking away, possibly with your eyes closed, you can take the time to notice your target’s breathing rate and depth.
If you hear them take a deep breath, hold it, and then let out a big exhale, this can indicate the release of an emotional block. You can pace this as if you felt it!
Wow, I just felt a sudden release of information. Like a huge weight has been lifted.
If they have soft, shallow breathing:
There is something you are keeping close. Something you are worried about. Something you are uncertain about.
If they are nervously shifting in their seat:
Okay, relax, try to focus, breathe deeply, keep your feet on the floor.
