The type of contact details you get from a girl can make a big impact on your dating success.
The most popular methods these days are phone numbers, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat.
Phone numbers are the classic mode of communication, enabling calls and text messaging directly over a network. However, they often incur costs, especially for international calls, and managing international dialing codes can be a hassle
WhatsApp is similar to a phone number but has free messaging and calls over the internet. You can also video call and post stories.
Facebook allows you to maintain long-term connections passively and also includes beneficial features such as relationship status and visibility of mutual friends. Also, you can see if a girl likes your posts, which is an indicator of interest.
Instagram is essentially a validation platform, though it does have a direct messaging feature and you can see when people like your posts.
Due to the disappearing messages, Snapchat is less about public validation and more about private, momentary exchanges. That is good for short term connection but not so great for longer lasting passive connection in comparison to Facebook or Instagram.
When meeting someone socially, such as on the street or at a party, connecting through Facebook is best due to its features and popularity of use. The next best choice is Instagram.
However, when you meet someone on a dating site, such as Tinder, it is better to connect via WhatsApp. If she doesn’t have WhatsApp then Facebook would be okay, but definitely not to Instagram.
The main consideration is what platforms you both have access to and use regularly.
